Remaining Relative Visa

• A person with all relatives ‘settled’ in Australia may be sponsored for the 'remaining relative' visa by a close relative in Australia.

•  An eligible parent or step-parent, sibling or step-sibling, or an eligible partner of the applicant relative must sponsor the applicant. 

 The Applicant will not grant this visa if:

• The applicant or the applicant's partner have a near relative who usually live outside Australia, or
• The applicant or the applicant's partner have a near relative who live in Australia on a temporary visa (and are not an Eligible New Zealand citizen) or unlawfully. Temporary visas include bridging visas.

•  The applicant need to have an Assurance of Support.

• All the applicants (including family members) must meet the health and character requirements.  

• The applicants (including family members) must not have any debt to the Australian Government.  

• While the applicant  were in Australia and If their visa cancelled or visa application have been refused then they  might not be eligible for this visa.  

• The applicant who are 18 years of age or older must have read, or had explained to them, the Life in Australia and sign an Australian Values Statement. 

• The applicant might not grant this visa if it is not in the best interests of an applicant under 18.
