Carer Visa (Subclass 116 & 836)

Need a sponsor

• The applicant should entirely comprehend his/her sponsor's medical needs and condition where the applicant able to provide ongoing substantial care and support for their sponsoring relative or the family member who lives with them.

• All the applicants must meet the  health and character requirements.
• Family members who are not coming to Australia might also have to meet  health  and character  requirements.

• The applicants (including family members) must not have any debt to the Australian Government.

The applicants who are 18 years of age or older, they must:

• have read, or had explained to you, the Life in Australia
• sign an Australian Values Statement that confirms you will respect the Australian way of life and obey Australian laws.

• Be outside Australia when they apply and when the Department decides their application.
• Be sponsored by their relative or relative's partner for their first 2 years in Australia.
• Provide care for a relative, or a member of their family who lives with them, who has no reasonable access to care in Australia.
• The applicant might not grant this visa if it is not in the best interests of an applicant under 18. 

• Be in Australia when they apply and when the Department decides their application.
• Be sponsored by their relative or relative's partner for their first 2      years in Australia.
• Provide care for a relative, or a member of their family who lives with      them, who has no reasonable access to care in Australia.
• The applicant hold any substantive visa, except a Transit visa (subclass 771) or
• have held any substantive visa except a subclass 771 and made a valid      application for a subclass 836 visa within a certain time
• If the applicant has had a visa cancelled or refused while they were in Australia then they might not be granted this visa.
